AI hype is everywhere

AI clarity is rare, that’s what we deliver. Good morning from The Midas Report, let’s get you caught up.

You might have noticed that everything in AI feels like it’s running at double speed.

Changes, models, enhancements and breakthroughs are coming thick and fast. AI startups are no exception to this either.

Startups Are Shipping Agent Tools Faster Than Enterprises Can Test Them

So many new agent tools landed recently that it feels like they appeared out of thin air. But this isn’t hype, it’s infrastructure catching up to ambition.

Take StackAI for example, they just went live with enterprise ready deployment options and have landed data processing agreements with leading model providers like Anthropic and OpenAI.

So what does that really mean?

It means that agents designed for sensitive workflows like healthcare, finance, government can now be deployed without months of compliance scaffolding. A year ago, this was a non starter.

Today, it’s plug and play.

Here’s another example, Contextual AI, fresh off an $80 million Series A, announced general availability of its specialized RAG 2.0 platform.

RAG (Retrieval augmented generation) was once a science project that only in house teams could tune. Contextual has verticalized it for high stakes, domain specific work.

Qualcomm is already using it to power technical support with greater precision than generalist LLMs can achieve. This shift, accuracy over breadth, signals a maturing agent ecosystem where trust and specialization matter more than novelty.

Meanwhile, Make.com is turning agent orchestration into drag and drop automation. Users can now snap together adaptive workflows that decide, act, and iterate in real time, no coding required.

Think of it as Shopify for agents, making what was once a developer heavy job accessible to product managers, ops teams, and even business analysts.

So what does this mean for you?

This is a dev tools inflection point. The hard parts like compliance, orchestration, secure RAG pipelines are becoming just standardized modules.

  • For startups, the barriers to entry are collapsing. You can build on hardened agent infrastructure in hours rather than months, and focus on unique workflows instead of reinventing security or pipelines.

  • For enterprises, the excuses are gone. Compliance is baked in, integration is visual, and specialization is ready made. Waiting risks ceding ground to competitors who are already piloting these tools.

  • For everyone in general, the opportunity is not in building agents for their own sake. It’s in embedding them into real workflows, procurement, customer support, finance close, where measurable ROI can be proven.

This is not tomorrow’s play. It’s happening now.

The startups are moving at agent speed. The question is whether enterprises will still be watching from the bleachers when the market standardizes without them.
