Good day and welcome to today’s Midas Report. Your one stop shop for everything important in AI that matters to your bottomline.

Here is what is unfolding in AI today, January 25, 2026….

Our top story of the day brings us a little closer to the mighty “agentic ai”.

It’s just a small $4B bet…

This aspect of AI is exactly what we build in our custom builds that makes them so valuable. It’s not just creating automations… it’s creating automations that examine what it already did and improves upon it.

Recursive Intelligence just hit a 4B valuation on a simple promise that would have sounded like sci fi a year ago. AI that improves AI.

That detail matters because it moves the bottleneck. For most teams, the hard part is no longer getting access to a model. It is making the model behave in your product, stay reliable as users change, and get cheaper without breaking everything.

Recursive AI is basically an attempt to turn that messy, manual tuning work into a machine that learns how to do it better over time. If it works, the pace of improvement stops being tied to your team size and starts being tied to how quickly your system can run feedback loops.

This is where the competitive gap opens.

When development cycles compress, today’s best model becomes tomorrow’s baseline. The winners are not the ones who picked the fanciest model in January. They are the ones already shipping adaptive agents that can keep adjusting in the wild while everyone else is still scheduling quarterly prompt cleanups.

The 4B valuation is also a neon sign about where platform value is expected to land next.

VC money is signaling that “using AI” is getting commoditized, while automating the boring parts of making AI work is where the moat forms. Not the chat interface. The layer that decides which model to use, how to tune it, how to route tasks, and how to keep quality up as costs go down.

Founders should take this personally.

If your team is spending real time on model tuning, evaluation, routing, cost control, or LLM ops firefighting, start mapping what can be offloaded or auto optimized. Even if you do not switch tomorrow, you want clean instrumentation and feedback signals so you can plug into these tools when they mature.

Investors should widen the lens too.

The more interesting bets may be the infrastructure that makes recursive AI usable for midsize builders, not just frontier labs with armies of researchers.

🧠 The Download

IBM stakes its claim as the operating system for enterprise AI… With its new Enterprise Advantage offering, IBM is packaging AI governance, consulting, and prebuilt agents to help companies actually scale past the prototype phase.

The race for AI decision advantage moves up the stack… Leaders are realizing that deploying AI everywhere means nothing if decisions don’t get faster, better, and measurably smarter. The next strategic battleground is not model size or tool count, but who can shorten the loop from insight to action without adding chaos.

Enterprise AI adoption is getting blocked by signals, not systems… The biggest barriers now are hiring talent who can translate AI into business outcomes, clarifying what tools actually do, and building an internal story that crosses the last mile to adoption.

Nvidia reasserted dominance as the centerpiece of the AI trade, with Zacks naming it Bull of the Day and Cisco catching a bid on AI networking upgrades. Money is rotating into companies controlling real infrastructure chokepoints.

Synthesia’s $4B valuation and $400M raise catapulted it into the top tier of enterprise AI startups, with Nvidia and Alphabet both on the cap table. The bet is simple… avatars are turning into business tools with real budgets, not gimmicks.

AI tokens remained on mute while capital flowed into equities and enterprise oriented AI startups. Without cash flows or adoption signals, AI token narratives don’t move the needle. Crypto based compute networks must stop leaning on promises and start delivering infrastructure grade performance or risk fading further behind as capital continues hunting returns with invoices attached.

Thanks for joining today. See you tomorrow for more good stuff.
